Instrumental Rating IR (A) – IR SE SP, IR ME.SP.

It enables the piloting of SEP/MEP aircraft operating according to instrument flight rules (IFR) and under minimum visual flight conditions (IMC).

COURSE PROGRAMME:

Theoretical Part

  • 150 hours of theoretical classroom instruction;
  • Theory examination at Enac offices.

 
Practical Part SEP

  • 50 hours of training with Instrumental Rating Instructor IRI divided into:
    • 35 hours on FNPT II flight simulator;
    • 15 hours on a/p Single Engine Piston SEP (A).

 
Practical Part MEP

  • 55 hours of training with Instrumental Rating Instructor IRI divided into:
    • 40 hours on FNPT II flight simulator;
    • 15 hours on a/p Multi Engine Piston MEP (A).

 
In order to obtain the qualification, the candidate must pass a practical test of at least 1 hour of flight time with the IRE Instrumental Rating Examiner.

The course normally lasts 55 working days.
